FAQ

  • A coworking space is a membership business model that serves professionals who work remotely, freelance, or run small businesses. It provides a valuable community for members, and offers all the amenities of a traditional office, like workstations, cafe, meeting rooms, and high-speed internet, without the hassle, commitment, and cost of renting a private office.

  • We operate in the heart of downtown Benicia at 521 1st St, on the second floor. We’re steps from restaurants, cafes, boutiques, and the Thursday farmers’ market.

  • Common Room members enjoy access to the coworking space seven days a week from 5:30AM to 7PM, with occasional closures for events and holidays. Day pass holders can use the space between 8:30AM-5PM on their reserved day, unless otherwise arranged.

Our member programming typically occurs during regular business hours or happy hour.

  • We sure do. In fact, for our opening special, your first two visits are free! Click here to choose the day and time you’d like to arrive for your first day pass.

  • Yes! There is a small parking lot behind the building that can be accessed via Anderson Lane. Street parking in downtown Benicia is also free.

  • When you become a member or purchase a day pass online, you’ll receive a unique code or access pass for our secure front door. This code acts as both your key and your check-in, and it remains valid for the duration of your membership or day pass. We will meet you at the space on your first visit to show you the ropes!
